a little bit about me
a few of my favourite things...
I have had a total passion for photography ever since I was inspired as a young teenager when my father gave me my first camera... a trusty Pentax MESuper.
Throughout studying photography at Bournemouth & Poole College of Art; working as a gallery manager for London's first commercial photographic fine art gallery, "The Special Photographers Company"; also working for a top advertising photographer Andreas Heumann in London ... I had the certainty that I would have my own photography business one day.
Many cameras later and after spending time living aboard our small yacht in the Mediterranean and having children, photographing them growing up hugely inspired me - and my business grew organically. Then after photographing a friend's wedding, I was hooked! I now feel so honoured and privileged that I am actually paid to do something I just love.
My constant influence is the work of the early pioneering Victorian photographers, in particular Julia Margaret Cameron, who's work I adore and shows in my devotion and love of warm sepia tones, natural daylight and rustic backdrops.
I live near Lewes in the beautiful Sussex countryside with my husband Andrew. We have 3 wonderful daughters (my proudest creations) ...and a hairy border terrier.
